**THIS SLICE OF HEAVEN HAS CLOSED*** For more brunch tips, click HERE. How about having a meal inside a small container-turned-into-restaurant? Well, that’s definitely a possibility at ‘TIL THE COWS COME HOME. Especially during the cold months. In fact, last summer, when we ate here for the first time we kept wondering if they would close during winter. Nope…they are still there. And it is such a cool quirky experience!
The restaurant is located along Schönhauser Allee sandwiched between one of our favourite Coffee Bars (The Barn) and a very cool event/party space called “Platoon Kunsthalle” (also made of containers). The container is actually quite well designed and decorated. During the warmer months the area around the container is also used for seating and relaxing (and it is quite charming!).
“Till the cows come home” as you may have already realised by now is a vegetarian restaurant. Don’t be put off by that, though! We are no vegetarians and we absolutely love the food here. Yes, the menu is lighter than most options around (that can be a good thing!), and the closest you’ll get to eating animal protein is if you order the dishes with eggs (we do!). The menu is concise, however there is a yummy selection of salads, sandwiches and juices. Needless to say, everything is served super fresh and also responsibly sourced.
What we like to order at ‘Til the cows come home: Holy Cow (thick slice of yummy bread buried under avocado and egg).
Address: Schönhauser Allee 9 Berlin
