I simply could not wait to tell you about this place. Don’t tell anyone, but I just discovered a gem of a place that just opened recently on Pappelalle in Prenzlauerberg. Mrs. Robinson’s is simply the type of restaurant that I wish we could find more of in Berlin.
We started the evening with an exciting oxtail gyosa dish (we had to order it again!). When we thought it could not get better, the fried tofu dish arrived. Oh, my! I could have that dish every day for the rest of my life (make sure to bathe the tofu in the sauce). We then moved to the bao options. Our favorites were the fried chicken and the soft shell crab bao. Ask the staff for the homemade sriracha sauce and use it to spice up every dish!
The Cocktail and wine menu is limited but quite good. We had quite a few dessert options and while they were all tasty, it is the creamy rich ice cream hugged by deep fried bao bun that will stick to our memories. I mean…check it out!
Service is very friendly and efficient. The crowd is quite interesting and lively. We cannot wait to visit Mrs. Robinson’s again soon. PS: I need to go back to take pictures of the cute space. Got so distracted by the food that I forgot to take my usual pics. Sorry.
