MONSIEUR VUONG VIETANAMESE BISTRO is a Vietnamese restaurant located on a cool shopping area in the Mitte district. We come here frequently and must say that we have never been disappointed. Whether you are a Vietnamese food lover or merely curious you will be able to find something on the menu to suit your taste. We always have!
If the weather is hot, go for one of the salads. Otherwise a fragrant soup will give you the comfort you need. Their appetizers are also delicious. Make sure you find out what the dish of the day is. Most of the times they are also very good!
The place is a regular hangout for fashionistas (especially during lunch time) that work and live around the area. Because of its success this restaurant has become somewhat touristy. With that said, it seems to attract the sort of tourists that seem to fit in. So if you can handle some of the fellow tourists (we can!) you will be in for a treat.
The decor is reminiscent of cool Vietnamese restaurants you would find in Ho Chi Minh City in Southern Vietnam. We have the impression they have actually invented the concept of “color blocking”(girls, you know what I am talking about) a long time ago! We love how that they can work the orange and pink on the walls, menus, bar and somehow it all seems to make sense. This place is always busy, but they seem to be able to find everyone a place to sit efficiently, at least that has been our experience.
