Distrikt Môt Saigon Street Food

We always look forward to going back to this fun restaurant in a funky corner of Berlin Mitte. “Saigon street food” is the promise of Distrikt Môt. And boy, do they deliver! From the extensive street food menu (sometimes overwhelming) to the funky decor (even the smell – not a bad thing in this case) they make you feel as if you were sitting on a busy street joint in bustling Saigon.

Their version of the green papaya salad is milder than the Thai version but it still makes for a good appetizer. Their Pho selection is very good (we likey!). Their Bao Burger has been consistently rated as one of the most exciting burger options in the city and is super tasty and inexpensive. We love that they have a section of the menu named “For the exotic tongue”. We have been known to venture that way and have always enjoyed the experience. The deep-fried battered silkworms are an adventurous crowd pleaser. This type of food goes really well with an ice cold Vietnamese beer.

Distrikt Môt is busier at night, so if you are not into crowded places try and make it here for lunch. Grab a table outside if the weather allows. Make sure you visit their toilets and enjoy the funky decor made of Vietnamese beer bottles.

Make sure to explore the hip streets around this restaurant. Get lost. It is worth it!
