Oh, SIRONI BREAD…you put a smile on our face everytime we walk into Markthalle Neun. And how we would like to live closer so we could visit you daily… We cannot stress enough. This places produces some of the prettiest and most delicious bread in town.
SIRONI BREAD is an Italian style bakery inside one of the coolest Market halls in Berlin. Alfredo Sironi came to Berlin with a passion and has most definitely succeeded in representing what Italian bread making is all about. You just know when food is made with love.
It is always a pleasure just hanging out and watching the Sironi team kneading the dough and popping out such pretty bread. Besides the amazing bread, this slice of heaven also produces super yummy rolls, focacchia, pizza and pastries. Just order what you like, get coffee at the delicious Café Neun (Nine in German), sit down at one of the communal tables and enjoy. We can’t resist but take a gigantic loaf of bread home everytime we go there.
Ask the staff for recommendations. They will be happy to tell you what they are most proud of that day.
As you will already be inside Markthalle Neun make sure to explore the other vendors and stands. It is simply a treat. If you are there on a Thursday evening you will notice it is quite busy (and fun) as “Street Food Thursday” goes on that day. Sironi is open most days of the week though (check their website).
What we like to order at SIRONI BREAD: Giant loaf of Italian bread. It can be stored for up to 4 days.
