From the last week of April, face masks has become mandatory in all shops and on public transport in Germany. People in Berlin now also have to wear a mouth and nose protector when traveling on public transport and shopping in order to contain the transmission of the coronavirus.
According to virologists, nose-mouth protection can prevent the wearer from infecting other people with the coronavirus. In Berlin, not only a simple surgical mask and self-sewn or purchased models made of fabric are considered to be mouth and nose protectors. Covering the face with a cloth or scarf is also sufficient to comply with the mask obligation.
To help you follow the new rules in an elegant way, we selected some of the most stylish masks being made by Berlin designers right now.
