Monbijou Hotel/Mitte
The Monbijou Hotel is a beautiful 101-room boutique hotel in the heart of Berlin-Mitte, just a short stroll from Hackescher Markt station, across from the Museum Island and a vibrant shopping and dining area nearby. Monbijou hotel boasts a cozy lounge with an open fire place, a well-stocked library and a comfortable smoking lounge. Refreshing drinks and cocktails are served on the Roof Terrace during the warmer months.

Hotel Huettenpalast/Kreuzkölln
Well, Hotel Huettenpalast does not necessarily qualify as “boutique”. But we think it is such a fun concept and experience that it would be a shame not to include it. Think “caravan and wooden huts in a former factory”. Total retro vibes with fun and different accommodation options. Guests choose from cozy caravans, designer bedrooms and wooden cabins. Huetenpalast is conveniently located in one of Berlin’s vibrant neighborhoods: Kreuzkölln (the area between Kreuzberg and Neukölln). And in spite of the “hut” theme, it does offer the modern overall amenities for your comfort.

Grimms Hotel/Potsdamer Platz
Grimms sits on the edget of one of our favorite parks in Berlin: Gleisdreieck (a newly redeveloped area around a former railway junction complex). Just a few steps from the edge of Potsdamer Platz in Mitte and walking distance to the fun neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Schöneberg. Enjoy the inviting atmosphere by the fireplace in the open lobby or a ‘magic potion’ at the bar. The views from the rooftop terrace are unique and enchanting. The hotel restaurant is quite decent, but go across the park and have a great meal with amazing craft beer options at BRLO Brewhouse.

Michelberger Hotel/Friedrichshain
Michelberger Hotel is perhaps the coolest option on this list, if you are looking for Berlin cool vibes. Its location along Warshauerstrasse’s “party central” is perfect for folks that are looking to explore Berlin’s nightlife and grungy cool spots. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and provides guests with a quiet place to rest once the partying is done. Their courtyard is famous for sundowners and acoustic music sessions. Their restaurant and bar are very good and often develops fun pop ups.

Ostel Hotel/Friedrichshain
Imagine that it is 1978 and the Berlin Wall still stands. That’s the fun experienc Ostel Hotel provides its guests. Pretty much a journey back in time to East Berlin during the Cold War. Even the location could not be more appropriate. Just off Ostbahnhof, in the eastern neighorhood of Friedrichshain, just a few steps from the world famous Berghain. Needless to say, all the rooms are decorated to take you back in time. Patterns, fixtures and all!

25hours Berlin Bikini Hotel/Charlottenburg – City West
25hours Berlin overlooks the world famous Berlin Zoo and in the same complex as the cool shopping complex known as Bikini Berlin. Stratetigically located in the heart of west side of Berlin, this hotel provides quite a unique experience and delivers a surprisingly great value. The overall design concept is very cool and the atmosphere is cozy, from the rooms, to the unexpected lobby, to the fun Monkey Bar and Neni Restaurant on the rooftop. You might end up not leaving the hotel if you don’t make a point of it!
