By now you know that we live and breathe Berlin’s vibrant art scene. So when we heard about this series of Live Art Battles taking over the city in the next month, we could not wait to tell you all about it! And it makes it even more exciting to know that these battles have a purpose.
With the belief that the best ideas are often born on the streets this platform uncovers young creatives whose bold approach to their craft also serves a good cause. The battles serve as a rallying call to get people to unleash their inner strength and have the bravery to pursue passions, demonstrating how far the impact of creative courage can go.
It was a no-brainer when Tiger Beer, a partner we had the pleasure of collaborating with in the past, invited us to partner up on this project. Since 2013 they have been championing emerging talents all over the world. Last year we had a great time collaborating by showcasing local artists battle using the world’s first ink created with air pollution. This year the battles will focus on artists whose bold approach to their craft also serves a good cause. Each artist supports a great socially relevant project. These fun “Uncaged Nights” (Live Art Battles) will take place in 13 different countries all over the world, namely Taiwan, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Mongolia, Canada, Thailand, Cambodia, Germany and New Zealand. The “Uncaged Heroes” will be competing in Berlin and Hamburg in three preliminary events (specifics on each event below). On June 26th the top Heroes will meet back in Berlin for a final battle. One that we wouldn’t want to miss!
The top Uncaged Heroes from each country will then be invited to join other amazing talent from around the world at a global Uncaged Festival hosted by Tiger Beer in September 2018 in Seoul, Korea.
The Germany artist lineup is quite impressive and will focus on Street Art/Graffiti and Illustration. Here are the finalists and the projects they support!
