The Berlin craft beer scene just keeps getting better and better. And we are excited to report that Mikkeller (basically the best Danish craft brewery and one of the best in the world) has just joined the scene: with their own Mikkeller Craft Beer Bar!
Mikkeller Berlin is located just a stone’s throw away from Rosenthaler Platz. To get here, take the U-bahn (U8) or Tram to Rosenthaler Platz Station. Walk for about 3 minutes along Torstrasse, one of my favorite streets in Mitte.
The bar’s design is somewhat minimal, mixing white brick, wooden elements and fun yet simple light fixtures. Green tones can be found on the flooring, an obvious reference to the Mikkeller brand. Space is divided into three cozy areas. Naturally, my preferred spot is out front, by the main bar area, where I can drink and chit chat with the bar staff and watch people come and go.
I counted 24 craft options on tap. The vast majority of them are their own brews, ranging from Pils, IPA to Ales, Sour and Wild Ales and Souts. I am currently obsessed with sour beer, so I stayed in the Sour/Wild Ale range. And…I was VERY happy with what I got. They offer a few guest crafts as well, but really, with so many amazing options from Mikkeller, I did not see the point in going for non-Mikkeller beer here.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The vibes were mellow and casual when I visited. The crowds were interesting and diverse. I can see this place getting totally packed very soon, though. So, come early for mellow or come a little later for fun and busy!
Mikkeller Berlin has definitely the potential of becoming one of my regular hangouts. The perfect place to start the night with friends. If you want to do a craft beer bar crawl, make sure to also visit Kaschk and Brewdog. Both are located within walking distance from Mikkeller.
Mikkeller is also a smoke free bar, which I will happily add to my Smoke Free Bars MAP .

I was really enjoying their beer. There is also a new craft beer bar in Kreuzberg. It´s located in Oppelner Strasse next to the main entrance of Görlitzer Park. The name of the bar is “KADZ”. They also make really tasty beer. You should check out the home made pale ale. Soo good!
Hi Tobias, thanks a lot for the tip. We will check it out soon. Cheers!
