If you are wondering the streets of Kreuzberg (the area around Kottbusser Tor) and are looking for some yummy lebanese food, we think MAROUSH ARAB FOOD is an option you should consider. For a long time we ignored this place in favor of the traditional turkish Hasir (turkish restaurant across the street). However we are glad to have made the decision to explore Maroush recently.
The menu is focused on traditional lebanese staples such as Shawarma, Tabouleh, Fatoush, Humus, Babaganoush…you get the picture. There is, however, something to be said about the way the food is spiced. For some reason it does stand out from the other arab joints we have tried around the area. Or maybe we were just very hungry when we went there! Let us know what you think when you go there.
The ambiance is über casual and chill. We prefer to sit on the side walk when we can, but they do have some cozy seating area on the back as well. Otherwise just sit in the main room and watch the guys prepare your food. MAROUSH ARAB FOOD makes for a great late night dining option
Don’t miss the super elaborate tile work on the walls inside the restaurant! Also, make sure to explore the area along Oranienstrasse with its quirky shops and interesting courtyards.
